Recoverability with evidence
Objectives
Ensure recoverability with immutability, clean restore points, and recorded RTO/RPO.
Key steps
- Protect: enable immutability; separate credentials; test backups
- Verify: periodic restore tests; document achieved RTO/RPO
- Select clean points: verify last‑known‑good using telemetry and vendor tools
- Restore & validate: staged restore; checksum/functional tests; sign‑off
- Document: capture logs, screenshots, and approvals; update the runbook
Reporting
Include restore test evidence in service reviews; track failures as risks/issues in RAID and the SIP.
