Beyond included footprint: Virtus will normally propose a predictable monthly uplift (a “Growth Pack” / site uplift unit documented in the SoW) once a site exceeds baseline. If you prefer itemised billing, per-device units can be applied instead.

Licenses for productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) are billed as pass-through on LIC-PROD lines at the prevailing SKU price.
The ~$25/seat figure is a budgeting assumption only and may differ from the actual SKU selected.
All prices are ex GST. Licensing is pass-through (LIC-PROD). Onsite is billed separately unless explicitly included.

The ladder presented above is included for pricing transparency and reflects how we allocate the right seniority for risk, complexity, and time-critical work. The table is not to be seen as a “pick a level” list. Where a specific seniority is required (e.g., security-critical change, architecture review), we will confirm this in the SoW/WO.

Typical allocation (examples):

Standard requests: runbook tasks, routine admin, user and device support (Consultant)
Complex changes/incidents: identity, firewall/network, server changes; major incidents (Senior/Lead/Principal Consultant)
Strategy/governance: roadmap, architecture decisions, risk and prioritisation (Principal Consultant/vCIO)

Default for most project delivery: PS-HOUR-BL $140/hr blended, unless a Statement of Work / Work Order explicitly specifies otherwise.

Billing increments: 1-hour minimum, then 15-minute increments. Weekdays after-hours (Monday-Friday 17:00-08:00, except Public Holidays) billed at 1.5×. Weekends and public holidays 2.0×. Urgent requests (<24h notice) +15% uplift. Travel & expenses pass-through at cost (or per-km as agreed in the SoW) unless agreed otherwise, see Rules & Modifiers for other applicable terms.

Logging & Monitoring — SIEM-lite

Add-on base per site per month: Bronze $150 · Silver $200 · Gold $300.

Included telemetry credit per site per month: Bronze 10 GB · Silver 15 GB · Gold 20 GB.

Additional telemetry: $12/GB, measured monthly.

Optional prepaid telemetry packs (per site, monthly): +20 GB $220 · +50 GB $550 · +100 GB $1,100.

Data retention defaults: security logs 365 days; admin/audit 180 days (unless otherwise agreed).

Tuning & reporting included: weekly checks; monthly report pack.

Usage varies with environment size and activity. Itemised billing can be provided for transparency if required.

Discounts & Prepay Options

Prepaid Services & Discounts:Customer may purchase prepaid Professional Services blocks or prepay Managed Service fees (quarterly/annually) at the discounted rates in the Pricing Annex.
Prepaid amounts are non-refundable and drawn down in 15-minute increments except where we fail to materially perform (our breach), in which case unused prepaid amounts are refundable.
If the Customer terminates early or the agreement is otherwise ended for reasons other than our breach, any discount is clawed back: used services are re-rated at the standard Annex rates and only any true balance, if any, is returned.
Block hours expire after 4 months from invoice date. A one-time 30-day extension may be granted on written request prior to expiry.
Discounts do not apply to pass-through items (e.g., licenses) and do not alter after-hours/urgent multipliers.
If a volume/standardisation condition is not maintained for 60 days, fees revert to Annex rates the following billing cycle.
PS block prepay: 10h or 25h (4-month expiry; one-time 30-day extension available).
Managed services prepay: quarterly 4–6%, annual 8–10% (or “11+1” months).
Autopay/direct debit incentive: 1–2%.
No discounts on pass-through lines (e.g., LIC-PROD, EDR, etc.).

Bespoke Rates & Overrides

Client-specific rates can temporarily override the Annex via a Bespoke Pricing Addendum attached to the SoW/WO. Unless explicitly overridden, all other Annex terms and rates apply.

Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 NZT, excluding New Zealand public holidays, unless otherwise agreed in the SOW.
After-hours: weeknights ×1.5 (tier-dependent window); weekends/public holidays ×2.0.
Travel: first 10 km included; then $1.10/km + hourly travel time at 50% of resource rate (unless otherwise agreed).
Minimum term for Managed Services: 12 months unless agreed in writing.
Volume tiers (prepaid PS hours): 10h (-5%), 25h (-8%).
SLA/SLO alignment: targets are defined in the Managed Services Listing/SoW and may affect pricing.
All pricing is exclusive of GST and quoted in NZD.
Invoices: monthly in arrears for T&M; fixed packages 50% on kickoff, 50% on completion (unless otherwise agreed); monthly in advance for Managed Services.
Payment terms: Default billing cycle goes from the 26th to the 25th. Unless otherwise stated in the Order Form or SOW/WO, invoices are due on the 15th day of the month following the date on the invoice.
Payment terms may be aligned to the subscribing agency’s standard AP processes where agreed in the SOW/WO.

To request a bespoke unit or rate, reference the unit code in your SoW and state the override (e.g., SEAT=$75/month for 250+ seats).

Time & Materials (Out-of-Scope)

Out-of-scope work and changes are billed on a Time & Materials basis using Virtus Group’s Professional Services Ratecard. This applies to all customers unless otherwise agreed in a SoW/WO.

MS subscriber discount: Managed Services clients receive a 5–10% discount off PS list rates (vCIO discount capped at 8%) per the Discounts & Prepay section; non‑Managed clients pay list rates.
Expedited start (on request): If commencement is required within 1 business day, a +15% uplift applies (stacks with after‑hours).
Billing increments: Remote work bills in 15‑minute increments. On‑site work has a 1‑hour minimum; travel is billed at 50% of the applicable rate or a published travel fee.
Pass‑through items: Licenses, CSP/EDR SKUs and other pass‑through costs are billed at cost and excluded from discounts and multipliers.
Prepaid PS blocks: 10h/25h blocks may be purchased per the Discounts & Prepay section (4‑month expiry; one‑time 30‑day extension; early termination clawback).

For clarity, Managed Support remains coverage/SLA‑based (no fixed hour banks). Projects and material changes are delivered under T&M or a fixed‑price SoW.
